Climaseal 5 Fasteners - Metroll Newcastle

Climaseal 5 is the first fastener coating which matches the corrosion performance of roofing profiles made from COLORBOND® Ultra steel in both ISO Category 4 and Category 5 environments.

Buildex has used 20 years of experience with real world, outdoor exposure testing on our fasteners to continually offer new and improved anti-corrosive coatings, with Climaseal® 3 in 1990 and Climaseal® 4 in 2004. Climaseal® 5 is our latest unique coating, double the thickness to provide for an ultra high corrosion performance. Climaseal® 5 has a product life and warranty double that of our Climaseal® 4 coated fasteners and will match the corrosion performance of roofing profiles made from COLORBOND® Ultra steel in both ISO Category 4 and Category 5 environments.

Climaseal® 5 can also be used with roofing profiles made from COLORBOND® steel in

ISO Category 4 environments (Severe Marine
& Severe Industrial).

Very Severe Marine This region is common on the beachfront in regions of rough seas and surf beaches. It can extend inland for several hundred metres.	10 Years

ISO Category 4
Severe Marine This region occurs mainly on the coast, in areas with rough surf it extends from several hundred metres to about 1 kilometre inland, with the extent dependant on winds, wave action and topography.	25 Years
Severe Industrial Characterised by fall-out and emissions from stacks, sulphur and acid smells.	25 Years
