Each pack complies with AS/NZS 4859.1 for a net weight
of 11.0kg, a total area of 8.0m2 and a mean thickness
of 165mm.
The Building Code of Australia (BAC) requires all insulation
products to comply with AS/NZS 4891.1. The aim of this
standard is to ensure performance claims of home insulation
products can be verified – so you can make sure
you are getting the performance you have paid for!
The standard requires more detailed information on the
packaging, Bulk home insulation product labels, such
as Insulco® Fat Batts, must now disclose the following
key information:
• Net weight of pack
• Total area
• Mean thickness
To make it easier for you we have placed the ‘BCA
Compliant’ stamp of approval on all our packs
so you know at a glance you are getting quality insulation
for your home!
Insulco® Fat Batts will not burn – they are
made from glasswool which is non-combustible Glasswool
has been extensively tested and classified by the International
Agency for Research into Cancer as ‘Category 3
– not classifiable as carcinogenic to humans’.
The installation of Insulco® Fat Batts does no affect
your access to the roof space. Insulco® Fat Batts
may be suitable for use with downlights when tested
to AS1530 Pt1. These are not to be installed directly
above downlights in accordance with AS3999. A least
a 25mm gap between each light and insulation batt is
required.
