At Metroll Newcastle, we offer Purlins and Girts that are manufactured from a variety of steels that conform to the Australian standard for cold form steel structures. Standard AS/NZ4600 requires that cold-formed sections need to be protected against corrosion attack. Our purlins and girts range from painting systems to heavy galvanised coatings such as GALVASPAN® steel.

Using leading edge engineering technology, we offer high quality products at competitive prices. Our large variety of purlins and girts are industry proven in sporting, commercial, industrial, rural and domestic applications.

Manufactured from GALVASPAN® steel, our top end purlins and girts are design efficient and cost effective. Launched for the construction of the Dunc Grey Velodrome, the world’s first pairs of back-to-back curved purlins were used to create the striking roof design for the structure used for the cycling events at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

You can span further and save on overall construction costs using our girts and purlins. The higher strength to lower weight ratio make our products easy to transport and handle on site. As our purlins are relatively thin in profile, affixing to roof and wall cladding is fast and easy with self-drilling, self-tapping screws.

Before specifying purlins and girts, please consult our helpful staff who can advise and help you with type of material, coating forming process, maintenance conditions and costs.
